LOCATION:

Arusha city is located in the northern highlands of Tanzania, beneath the twin peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. Direct flights from Europe to Kilimanjaro International airport by KLM, Qatar, Ethiopian, Kenya Airlines are available. Other local airlines including Air Tanzania and Precision airlines also operate from different regions of Tanzania to Arusha. The Kilimanjaro International airport is situated 50 kilometers from Arusha city. Air Tanzania and Precision Air are vibrant local national carriers which provide flight services between Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Kilimanjaro, Nairobi and Entebbe. The city is the site for the United Nations Criminal Tribunal on the Rwanda genocide, and the headquarters of the East African Community. Visitors embarking on the popular northern safari circuit all stop in the “Geneva of Africa'' to prepare for their journey to Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti, Manyara, Tarangire and Arusha national parks.
