The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the University of Dar es Salaam Tanzania, has been organizing the biannual International Conference on Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE) for the last 22 years. The conferences have covered various discourses on the role of Mechanical, Industrial and other related engineering disciplines towards innovation and sustainable development. This year, the 8^th MIE Conference, which is expected to be held on 24^th and 25^th October, 2024 at The Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology (NM-AIST)., Arusha Tanzania will focus on promoting strong linkage between academia and industries to enhance industrial productivity and competitiveness.
